South Madison Farmers Market

Growing Power's
Rainbow Farmers Cooperative

The Market Basket Program is a CSA-style food distribution program developed and managed by Growing Power. It is designed to connect urban consumers with small-scale, regionally local food systems.

The program consists of weekly deliveries of boxes of produce from our Rainbow Farmer's Cooperative as well as small-scale, family owned, local wholesalers to urban neighborhoods in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison. This program is a year-round food security program that supplies safe, healthy, and affordable whole foods, vegetables, and fruits to communities at a low cost. Because the program is run on a weekly basis, each customer may engage week to week at a pace that is right for them. The market basket includes ten to fifteen different varieties of veggies in quantities intended to last two to four people throughout the week. Seasonal assortments may include:

Apples
Basil
Beets
Broccoli
Cabbage
Carrots
Collard Greens
Cucumbers
Eggplants
Grapes
Melons
Mustard
Greens
Onions
Okra
Peaches
Peas
Peppers
Spinach
Sweet Corn
Tomatoes
Turnip Greens
